Cristina Tumiatti, sales and marketing director of Sea Marconi Technologies, is the new president of the Young Entrepreneurs group of the Industrial Union of Turin. The announcement was made yesterday, 28 May 2013, at the annual meeting of the Turin Young Entrepreneurs Group.
The objectives of the newly-elected president, who will remain in office until 2016, include giving concrete shape to Sea Marconi's experiences over the last three years, by creating an inter-uiversity training course. The president will also continue her commitment to the Yes4TO inter-association table, which groups thirteen associations of entrepreneurs, managers and professionals under the age of 40 in Turin and province. Constant attention will also be given to issues related to youth employment.
The new president is in favour of the generational pact, in which there is an exchange between the employment of a senior person and a youngster, especially in the form of youth apprenticeships. .
Cristina Tumiatti, daughter of Vander Tumiatti, founder and current general partner, represents the new generation. She is continuing the original imprint of the company with consistency: international vision, dedication, expertise and passion for constant innovation in order to be the first on the market and hold on firmly to the leadership position it has conquered.


GETTING TO KNOW CRISTINA TUMIATTI BETTER
Born in Turin on 13 January 1974, she obtained a high school diploma in 1993, after spending her fourth high school year at Lincoln High School in Sioux Falls, SD (USA) as an exchange student: this experience - which she recommends all students - was the beginning of a path of personal and professional development that continues today. She graduated in Business Administration in 2001 from LIUC in Castellanza, the only university in Italy at the time to have a course focused on the management of SMEs.

In 1998, she undertook an internship in International Marketing at the Missouri Soybean Association in Jefferson City (MO, USA) and, on her return to Italy in 1999, she underook another internship at Martini and Bacardi in Turin, again in Marketing. In late 1999, she joined the family business, Sea Marconi Technologies sas in Collegno, initially worling in international marketing, and later becoming director of sales and marketing. In her early years working in the company, she focused mainly on new markets, with the opening of offices in France (2002), Spain (2002), Argentina (2004) and Germany (2009), which soon registered excellent commercial results, and obtained multi-year framework contracts with major companies such as Endesa, EDF, Total, SNCF and Adif, and confirming Sea Marconi's market leadership role.

Meanwhile, in order to extend her skills, she took a Master of Business Administration PT course at the SAA. She became a member of the Young Entrepreneurs Group in 2003, and councillor in 2007. In 2009, with the birth of her son Matteo, she took on her various roles as woman, mother and entrepreneur with determination. She is passionate about cooking, a voracious reader and lover of history. Deeply committed to associative activities, her motto is: 'Italy must restart at once, and it must restart from enterprises: let's be entrepreneurs'.
