Dehumidification

Dehumidification

If the insulating fluid presents critical issues due to water, dissolved gases and suspended particles, Sea Marconi offers an integrated solution for physical decontamination and dehydration/dehumidification of paperboards by means of special units (MDUs - Mobile Decontamination Units) and operating procedures able to ensure optimal conditions of fluid and machine.

This treatment is applied on equipment filled with inhibited or uninhibited mineral insulating oils, complying at origin with the specifications of IEC standard 60296. The activity can be applied for other insulating liquids (silicones, natural and synthetic esters or others) with appropriate modifications and precautions.
The dehydration treatment is a physical process which, with integration of the functions of the basic treatment, eliminates or reduces physical contaminants present in the insulating liquid and the machine through continuous circulation, at closed loop without even partial emptying of the hot insulating liquid, to obtain:

  • progressive water extraction,
  • dehumidification of solid insulation (kraft paper)
  • degassing and vacuum filtration of oil.

Precisely because of its vast experience and competence in the specific domain, Sea Marconi is able to support the customer in choosing the dehydration technique best suited to the specific operating scenario.
