Sea Marconi's continuous cycle
The CDP Process® is the unique and safe technology for the decontamination of transformers, and the dehalogenation and detoxification of PCBs in insulating oils with full functional recovery and "NO PCBs" reclassification of machine and oil.

The following are the characteristics:
  • Operational safety through
  • use of a patented solid reagent,
  • low process temperatures (80-100 °C),
  • no emptying of transformer
  • use of decontamination units (MDUs) built in-house and equipped with an advanced system for monitoring and automatic safety 24 hours a day
  • Environmental security, because the CDP Process® avoids the replacement and burning of huge amounts of oil that is still usable, as well as risks associated with the handling of contaminated oil. In addition, it does not produce waste
  • The small dimensions of the treatment units allow them to operate even with extreme logistical constraints (e.g . in bunkers, in underground plant quarries)
  • Recovery of oil properties and the transformer(thanks to the exclusive closed-loop operating mode which functions like a "dialysis")
  • Overall cost/benefit ratio
  • High efficiency with other chlorinated organic compounds(PCT, PCBT, PCDD, PCDF)
  • Normative reference: IEC 60422 Ed. 4 2012 and CENELEC CLC/TR 50503 (02/2010). Reference to Sea Marconi's CDP Process
  • Robust application case record (more than 8,000 transformers in over 25 years)
  • Simultaneous decontamination of oil and paperboards
  • Treatment is usually performed on-site (with mobile units), avoiding the movement of large transformers; however, the same technology can be implemented on stationary systems in order to decontaminate large quantities of small transformers concentrated in one collection point
