Sea Marconi at the International Biorefinery Conference.

Among the events of the end of 2015, we should remember not only those related to transformers but also those linked to bioenergy and bioproducts.

This is why, on 1 October 2015, Vander Tumiatti accepted the invitation to hold a speech at the "Biorefinery I: Chemicals and Materials from Thermo-Chemical Biomass Conversion and Related Processes" conference, which was held in Crete (Greece) between September 27 and October 2 last year.

The event was organised by the ECI (Engineering Conferences International), a non-profit programme for scientific information dissemination of topics linked to engineering and represented a prestigious meeting point for the world's leading experts on the following topics:

- Light oxygenates, phenols and aromatics

- Adhesives and lubricants / feed / Food and additives

- Specialties, pharmaceuticals, fine chemicals and fibrous products

- Synthetic fuels, charcoal (derivatives) and other commodity chemicals

- Plastics and Synthetic fuels

Sea Marconi's speech was actually part of this last session and dealt with a real example of biomass conversion into biomaterials and bioenergy, including biofuel. The presentation had the following title: "A flexible three-stage thermochemical conversion process".
Sea Marconi is investing a lot in this research field: the numerous research calls the company has received, have enabled concrete results to be achieved, particularly with the development of highly innovative concepts and then the implementation of technological solutions (see Lorver) surprising, and already patented.
