Currently the Chedcos® selective depolarisation is the only really effective and above all lasting solution to the problem of corrosive sulfur.

This process was developed by Sea Marconi in 2005 after the discovery of DBDS (dibenzyl sulfide) as the main cause of the corrosive sulfur phenomena.

This treatment has been already successfully applied on nearly 500 transformers without any case of failure. The Sea Marconi technicians intervene on the spot with their mobile units (DMU - Mobile Decontamination Unit) and start a kind of dialysis that improves the properties of the oil and eliminates the main cause of corrosivity: the DBDS.
