Environmental crisis management

TransfoClean Site is the emergency response service following environmental crises caused by accidental events (e.g. explosions or fires in electrical equipment) with spills of contaminants such as PCB, PNA/PAH (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon) or hydrocarbons.

On the basis of contractual agreements, Sea Marconi is able to respond within 24-48 hours of the accident and intervene:

by limiting and defining the perimeter of access;

by sampling and analysing the various environmental matrices involved (water, soils, subsoil, air);

by interpreting the analytical results and issuing a real diagnosis with the countermeasures needed to restore normal safety conditions.

The company's past experience (case of the Seveso dioxin incident in Meda, Milan, in 1976), combined with the values, technologies and needs of the present, led to the awarding in 2004 of the framework contract with the EDF Group for the management of environmental crises with PCBs, 24 hours a day, across the entire territory of France.
